As an editor and assessor, I priortise curiosity, empathy, encouragement and patience. There is a reason you are telling this story and I want to help you tell it – in your way.
My strengths lie in young adult fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction and legal texts but I have worked on a large range of projects. I am a graduate of the esteemed Graduate Diploma in Publishing (Applied) from Whitireia and have worked as an editor for six years since.
I am available for “big picture” editing – looking at plot, characterisation, theme, pacing, structure and overall technique – and line editing and proofreading – looking at sentence structure, imagery, figurative language, grammar, punctuation, spelling and continuity errors.
